Jane here!
I adjusted the code for the Closed Circle banner images last night so that they should adjust for various screen configurations, e.i. they should now be a percentage of the column width rather than an absolute size. Problem is, WordPress wants to mess with the manual html code, and it took out the code that should keep the image proportions the same, so…if you would mind clearing your cache and taking a quick dive over there with whatever browser and version you use to see if it displays right, I’d sure appreciate it. If you would window rather than full screen and “squish” the page to see if it changes, that w/b even wonderfuller!
^ Current model iPad and iOS until Wednesday, March 7th, at least. Heheh. — I’m looking forward to the announcement, but I don’t expect to jump up to the new iPad 3 yet. Happy with my iPad 2.
Clearing my FF10 cache again before checking CC again.
CC looks great in all browsers, with everything showing and expanding/contracting as it should. Except in my FF10.0.2. I’ve now cleared my FF cache completely three times on this machine (desktop) and still no refresh. It appears to be showing the old pages there, from after the upgrade but before the fix of the graphics and Orion’s Children page. No idea why. It’s showing fine in other browsers on this machine and my iPad 2. Haven’t checked on my laptop yet, but I will. If it shows correctly on my laptop in FF10, I’d say it is some local space oddity and not the site.
Aren’t compoooters wunnerful? sheesh…
All good on my Android 2.30 HTC phone. Have looked on most but not all pages… Cheers
I use NewFox which is a feed reader from Firefox, and the CC website looked good in it. Randomly tried a couple of links and they worked. I still want Teeshirts with the new Closed Circle logo with the red swirly thing around it. Pretty flashy.
I’m glad you like it. I thought it really turned out pretty. I’m not sure we can. We actually bought the swirl off iStock and we’ve got to check into what rights we actually bought. I actually changed what we bought quite a bit and it might be enough. We’ll check into it. I think it would make a pretty shirt…
Looked fine – the couple of links to books I checked worked. Clicking on a book cover got me a nice enlarged picture, cute animated horse and wagon shopping cart – ….seems to be just fine, with Firefox 10.0.2 as far as I can tell.
P.S., went to the Seeking North website and Newsfox chopped the right side off the picture where the website name is, so it didn’t scale like the rest of the website did. However, everything else looked fine. I know this is a scale issue, as when I widened the viewing pane, I saw more of the picture.
To my knowledge, the header images won’t actually scale. It’s a limitation on the theme. Closed circle’s doesn’t actually scale, it’s just biased to the left so that when the browser screen narrows, the last thing to go is the logo. 😀 I’m actually going to go over to SN and see if there’s a way to make that image scale. I don’t think there is, but I’m curious now.
oh – that’s on my home desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium.
Resizing the browser window ‘squishes’ things nicely. Your ‘welcome’ mat is centered nicely and resizes nicely – no problems.
thanks, everyone! I think we can call it a “go”. Big hugs!
Worked on my horribly out-of-date FF3.6 Linux laptop. Page resized on the fly just fine. Will try again with FF9.0.1 on other Linux boxes (and an XP box) tomorrow, at the cafe. And yes, I know I need to update to 10… I have a Google Chrome install to check it against too, when I can get to that machine.
