Oh my, I get distracted by the last few weeks of teaching and going up to NH to see my Mom and look what happens when I don’t take the time to check Wave and Harmonies: you two decide to get married! What a delightful idea and place to do it. This May 17th, aside from being my birthday, is also the 10th anniversary of same sex marriage being legal here in Massachusetts.
What a fantastic day that was 10 years ago: my spouse especially had put in many long hours and days up at our State House on Beacon Hill making certain it became legal; we and hundreds of others celebrated at midnight at Cambridge City Hall on the 16th/17th then, watching couples line up to go in and get licenses as soon as they and Cambridge could; and then went to the rally and celebration at Boston City Hall the next day at amore sane hour to watch the couples come out from there.
I will think many happy thoughts on the afternoon of this May 17th!!!
