I have rarely written a harder one, technically speaking. And I’m a month and a half late getting it in, but I’m sure it will make schedule for next April. The cover is already done.
The book—is finished, except for some final touches.

Woohoo! I think I can speak for many in pointing out that you’ve had a very busy spring and that there should be somethings in life that should take presidence over work. And which have giddy associations that keep one distracted for at least several weeks. If the publisher is being snarky, I will cheerfully blow them a raspberry!
Fortunately, you are reliable, and usually need little in the way of editing for spelling, grammar, or punctuation… That makes it much easier to get your book ready for publication. As one of the activities at ShejiCon we were planning on an attempt to come up with more possible book names and the (improbable) reasons why the titles fit, and who they fit.
[Shameless proselytizing] Come to ShejiCon 5-8 September in Spokane… All associates or members of the Wavy Navy were and are invited. See the last tab above the page banner for more particulars. The more attendees the better. [/Shameless proselytizing]
Have I mentioned that ‘done’ is one of my favorite words?
Looking forward to it. BTW does it have a title yet?
Tracker.
Intriguing title!
I have the ebook on pre-order and hope to catch up in the series by a couple of books or more before it’s released.
Notez Bien: I was intrigued when I found that Precursor (Book 04) (By Trilogy, 2.1) has an Audio (Headphones) icon in Amazon’s ebook version. I havre not yet tested this, but apparently, text-to-speech is synched to the text. Whether the audio comes from the Audible.com audiobook, I don’t yet know. When I’ve listened and read a portion, I’ll report back here. This was a new feature which (as of yet) the other ebooks don’t have. That too may change, as when ebook texts are upgraded, Amazon offers the upgrade automatically and for free. Books 05 and 06 are still not showing released as ebooks, but as Book 04 was released recently (since February), I think it’s safe to assume they’re in the pipeline.
Should we presume there will be two more after Tracker, to complete the trilogy?
One always hopes for more Chanur / Compact (hani or otherwise) and more Alliance/Union books, as these are wonderful and one is most intrigued what else has been going on in such places among spacer-folk, human, hank, maven, stsho, and whoever else may be out there. For that matter, one would welcome more fantasy or whatever might be bubbling up in the author’s imagination.
