They say it should get here around 11 am, and that’s never varied. But they only forecast a tenth of an inch. They always forecast a tenth of an inch in WA. No matter what actually falls. But they call for it to hang around continuing to rain tenths.
No rain yet; splitting headache…which indicates the pressure change is coming…

at 12:50PM PDT, radar indicated the rain was west of Spokane moving almost due north. I don’t know how close to the Addy fire it came, but hopefully it helped out some. There were rain showers in Idaho, but I don’t believe they were where they needed to be – yet.
Alas, there isn’t much rain after those showers coming in from Oregon, but it’s something. Hopefully, it will be followed by more rain. I looked at the NWS Spokane forecast, maybe some rain tonight, and Monday…..but nowhere near enough, and today is dust storms and air quality is still very poor.
At least the air smells like air instead of smoke. That change has come. And the light is grey, instead of apricot and brown tint. I went out and saw to the pump—we’ve had a lot of debris come down in the wind, and it blew over the patio chairs, but we are much happier with what is blowing now than we have been in two weeks. My lungs are congested, same with Jane, and we are really, really tired of it. We have no energy because we have no oxygen…but we’re on the road to autumn, now, I can feel it coming.
And it has rained a little…we’ve got roiling cloud above us instead of smoke.b
80% chance of rain tomorrow, maybe up to 1/4 inch of rain…..hopefully, that will clean the air, and also help dampen the fires….
Sudaphed (or generic equivalent) is might scarce around these parts. I realize it’s a very small discomfort compared to actually living in the fire/smoke zones. Some smoke rolled over Ohio (at very high altitude) a couple of days ago. And I nearly panicked when the neighbor lit her chiminea (sp?) the other night. Feel better for your birthday!
