That wall at the end is new: it hides a small closet for mixer, toaster, bowls, Dustbuster, and other counter-sitters as well as brooms and cleaning supplies.
And our aim is to get the dining nook behind it clear of ‘stuff’ so that it all looks pretty.
Oddly (perhaps just on my iPad) this post & pic of yours appears in-set. When I tap on it, the actual (& larger) picture & your full post come up as well as 5 comments that don’t appear in the main link. Odd and probably an “oops” in WordPress, I presume.
Raesean, it does the same for me — iPad here too. Like a post within a post.
Me too. WIn 10 and FireFox here so it’s not just an iPad problem.
Agreed, and this AIN’T Windows. Not only that there are two whold threads dangling off it.
Remodeling is so disruptive. Stuff displaces stuff that displaces stuff until the whole house is catywompus. Still, you’re in the home stretch (pun intended) now. The housekeeping police are not going to bust you if you don’t get everything sorted right this minute, so don’t wear yourselves out trying to do everything at once. Everything turned out so pretty. I love the cabinet doors.
I hope you both have had time to be glad you did it, and like how it turned out. Everything you did needed to be done both for the house’s sake and for yours. May you enjoy it for many years to come!
That’s really nice. I particularly admire the gobs of cupboards and countertops!!
Galley kitchens are great for households of 1 or 2 as long as you’re well organised re cupboard and facility placement (which you’ve really planned out). We have a longish galley that is NOT well planned as the major food prep area makes the user a real blockage between fridge and sink (Aargh). And there are 4 Adults in my household so lots of traffic… a dining nook sounds fun, what will you place in there? Table or breakfast bar?
