Hi, everyone. Jane, here. CJ asked me to post that she had a wonderful Christmas and will be back as soon as she’s recovered from whatever zapped her last night. Either a little bug or something she ate has had her down for the count all day. Can’t even blame it on carousing. One glass of wine does not a carouse make! (You should at least enjoy getting this sick…) In the meantime, I’m posting pics of our Christmas morning over on my blog if you’d like to come hang out there for a bit. WOL’s lovely gifties will be up soon.
A Note from CJ

Poor CJ! I hope she starts feeling better soon!
WOL’s gifts are gorgeous!
Ugh. Sending ginger tea and sympathy. Being sick on the holidays stinks.
uck! Peppermint tea?
Incredible snowflake! Had to turn the Nook upside down to read the nanes on the gift tag! Oh my! What is that on Wiishu’s head?
Hope you feel better tomorrow. A bit better each day.
(Password for Jane’s blog is at work.)
Boo! No fun AT ALL! Sure hope you feel better soon. Can sympathize at a remove — the doc’s have been screwing around with my meds and the result has been a misery. Couldn’t even have my mom’s chocolate cake. Chondrite is absolutely correct — bring sick on the holidays sucks. One hopes it was an errant onion and you feel yourself again very soon!
Yeah, I can too! Once when I was sick and my sister visited, she observed, “You don’t do sick very well, do you?” It was probably 40-45 years ago, but I still remember exactly what she said. I suppose she was right, I don’t do “sick” well. 🙁
She’s better this evening, but still pretty dragged out. Went through a few hours where absolutely nothing would stay down. We all know how exhausting that is. She had some mac and cheese this afternoon and that’s stayed down. By tomorrow, her electrolytes should have settled and she s/b all better. Fingers crossed!
Aww, bless you both. I hope she’s feeling better soon and you don’t catch the bug either.
Doing OK here, cats and I were super lazy today. My finger’s much better too.
Grocery store trip tomorrow, but back home after that.
Horrible way to spent the holidays — absolutely nothing to celebrate! Take care and get better.
She’s so lucky to have you Jane! Hang in there CJ!
Ick! Glad CJ is feeling better. Hope it’s just a minor blip in the diet and all is better soon.
It’s the last full day of work before retirement and my office feels almost empty. I’m leaving office supplies in my desk for the next inhabitant, but I’m about to wipe the two computers that I use for development. Of course both readyDaughter and readySon were home for the holidays and gave me a wicked cough and sore throat. They’re feeling better; all I want to do is curl up in my bed with a hot toddy and a good book. Oh well, less than 12 hours of work for Uncle SAM left….
So sorry you have to be sick at Christmas, CJ. Sick anytime is bad but now, when it is supposed to be fun and celebration, it really is the pits. Hope you are well on the road to recovery.
A belated Good Yule to you and Jane.
@ Ready…….CONGRATULATIONS ON RETIREMENT!
Best Wishes CJ for a speedy recovery!
@WOL: You snowflakes and angels are lovely! I’m looking forward to seeing how they were done.
I hope she feels well soon! Happy Holidays to all you guys (including cats, of course).
I’m just adding a closing italics tag so the page plays nice with other. 😉
Here’s hoping CJ’s feeling better and Jane stays well.
Congratulations, Ready! — WOL, the snowflakes and angels for them are beautiful. Lots of work, too.
Uh-oh, closing italics didn’t do it. Maybe closing emphasis.
Testing to see if that works.
Nope, no such luck. Something’s amiss in the code in one of the posts. (Not a respondent’s fault, though.)
Hope all is well! And Get Well! Are the cats providing good heating pads?
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
PS. I tried putting the above sentence between italics-codes, and with the pointy parentheses, to see if that will cancel out the general parentheses – I know there’s another code for italics but I don’t know it to try it as well.
Agh – general italicness, not parentheses; and anyway it didn’t work!
