We’re going to be putting out Finity’s End in Closed Circle. And others. I’m going to talk with Betsy about putting out Merchanter’s Luck in e- book, too.
There is already a book planned to follow Alliance Rising. It happened when we realized we have story left over. But it doesn’t mean I’m not writing more Foreigner books. We’re just going to be writing MORE books.
Hurray for more books!
An additional book? I was stoked before, now I’m really stoked. — I would love to see Finity’s End and Merchanter’s Luck in ebook form. I’m eagerly awaiting when the Alliance history ebook is available at Closed-Circle.net.
Woot! Woot! Woot! My two favorite universes!
Would be great to have Rimrunners on ebook as well.

I am all for Alliance Universe books. One of the things I love most about your early works is your creative world building, and Alliance is actually my favorite of your worlds. You write so much in the Foreigner series that I really miss the variety. Any chanc more of your books will become available as audiobooks? My eyes are becoming weak and it is so much easier to enjoy your stories in that format.
Write to Audible and suggest it: they’re more interested in hearing what customers want than what writers want to sell them.
I looked over in Closed Circle for the Alliance “held over” item, but only see a lot of really old links to odds-and-ends. Do you have a direct link to the Alliance item, or has it yet to be posted.
Both Foreigner and Alliance books to come? It doesn’t get any better that that!
Than that, I should say.
Definitely looking forward to more ebooks on Closed Circle as well as Alliance Rising.
You heard the Dyn DDOS attack was carried out by hacked “Internet of Things” hardware? I’m sure you also remember SciFi stories about automated houses “taking revenge” on their owners? Ain’t so funny anymore, is it?
Yep. THat home cam you have to watch puppy via your cell while you’re at work—attacked the internet. Not to your linked-in thermostat and your car.
The latest “new books” post seems like the place to record sadness at the passing of another great female SF&F writer, Sheri S Tepper. There was a time when the only books I looked out for to compulsively read all the way back to the first were yours, CJ, and hers.
I look forward to your new books. 🙂 I’m an avid Foreigner fan, because something about them speaks to my soul, but there are a few A/U books that I really, really enjoyed as well, including Finity’s End.
Were there any other stories related to Finity’s End? That set of characters was very appealing and I found that I clicked with them and their story easily.
I’d be curious to know that too, Neco-ji. 🙂 Fletcher gets a brief mention in Downbelow Station, as an extra or minor character, along with his mother, but I don’t think he’s named there. Other characters from Finity’s End and Downbelow Station appear in Downbelow Station (the novel), and IIRC, Josh Talley and Capt. Mallory appear briefly in Merchanter’s Luck near the resolution.
I’m rereading Finity’s End now and enjoying it just as much. I’ve put Tripoint on hold temporarily to read FE. — With cleanup and move-prep, and with my eyes giving me trouble for regular print, I’m not making fast headway in the reread, which is frustrating, but oh, the story is good. It’s been long enough since I’d read Tripoint that I was several pages in before story bits started coming back to me. Looking forward to it.
I enjoy all the books ya’ll write, but the Merchant Alliance-Union books were always my favorite. After hearing about new stories in that setting, I just ran around shouting with excitement.
I never squee, but squee! Alliance-Union!
More books! Yippee!!! Don’t suppose you would consider having some hani, kif or mahendo’sat wandering around aforementioned books, would you?
New Alliance books? and Merchanters Luck as e-book?? YAY!!! 🙂
Btw.: Is there any chance ML will be published as audio book?
