…except helping Jane with the drapes. Which she’s freehanding. WHich are going to look good.
Headed out for free birthday steak at the Swinging Door.
Maybe dessert. 😉

Definitely dessert! Have a wonderful birthday!
Hippo Birdie 2 Ewe! (to quote the original Sandra Boynton card)
Happy happy!
Happy, happy birthday! My sister’s birthday is today as well. We celebrated with a home-cooked meal of ribs, slow-roasted with onions, carrots, potatoes and yams; and apple pie for dessert. It was yummy! Hope your steak dinner was delicious as well! (And dessert :D)
Happy Birthday! Sounds like a great day…free steak with dessert. These are two of my favorite things
Ack! One forgot, sorry! A most excellent happy birthday to you!
Gasp! “Birthday … steak?”
This sounds … oh, my. Lascivious. Tempting, certainly.
Do enjoy, both of you!
Peppercorn sauce sirloin—6 oz, but I don’t really want larger. And free on one’s birthday. Can’t beat that.
Happy Birthday fellow Virgo. My driver’s license expired with this one. Does yours?
Worth checking!
So sorry I missed the day. Being on the road does that. Currently in Ashland, OR on our way to Crater Lake. See you Friday.
Happy Birthday from another fellow Virgo. The commodore of our sailing club had a birthday today as well and there were CUPCAKES at the post-racing get-together. Yum!! Looking forward to this weekend.
Deli citations! One hopes you were presented with a giant tea cake with orangelle frosting inside. (Can you guess what I just finished re-reading?) 🙂
Infelicitous spellcheck! That should have read “felicitations!”
Somehow, “deli citations” is quite apt. 😉
Happy belated birthday, and many happy returns of the day. Hope Seishi is on the mend.
Are you not worried about the mercury in tuna?
Not a whit. I grew up on Merthiolate and Mercuricrome by the bucketful on every scrape and cut. I still use it on hangnails. And when we were kids, we used to break thermometers to get beads of mercury to play with. Sure, you can overuse it. But as it was intended to be used, no, it doesn’t spook a child who used to play in the weekly DDT fog and eat food stored in a fridge whose max cold was tepid. 😉
LOL!! When I was a kid we ran through the DDT fog once right after the guy filled up the hopper of the truck and that cured us of that! I do miss mercurochrome though; it didn’t sting. I didn’t realize you could still buy the stuff until I googled it just now to check the spelling.
One of my step-grandmothers used to cook a big meal at noon then leave the leftovers on the table covered with a table cloth which we than sat down and finished off for supper that night. And we never had any problem with food poisoning.
