Got the computer fixed—well—

except the removeable dvd/cd affair won’t answer diagnostics. They may send another for me just to plug in. My keyboard lights up again. There’s new everything; and the USB —still complained again this evening, but reboot seemed to appease it. Every time I plug in these headphones I think I may reboot. Maybe that will keep the machine honest.

Snow has sort of melted in the rain, the streets are quite wet, the snow is mushy and very slick, and they’re saying our 40 degree temps will now go to 27 before dawn. I do not envy people having a morning commute.

It does that when I use Chrome at home, but not here at work using Firefox. Of course, it’s been ages since our IT department updated Firefox; I keep getting the little “Your browser is outdated — why not install the latest IE?” when I go to my Hotmail account. 😛

Yes, me too, and it’s Firefox-15 that I built myself.

OTOH, I’ll bet our hostess is having a LOT less trouble from bots! 😉 If it’s doing that fpr her, I don’t mind. 🙂
