We treated it as a relaxacon, mostly, and just did a few panels. We had a chance to see old friends, and new—my publishers were there, and so was Todd Lockwood, who does the Foreigner covers, so we sat down and planned the upcoming one…
The kittehs love this hotel: beside a very full creek, with the wind blowing through trees, and a very comfy sized con, too. We ate way too much, and we only hope a couple of weeks will diet off what we just put on!
That sounds like great fun for all, humans and felines. Also, how great to get a chance to talk in person with the cover artist and plan things out.
Jane’s new slideshow of some of the wedding pics is lovely. I said there I’m humbled because it’s so great to see. I’m not sure who was more surprised, my current self, or my younger self who had so much trouble accepting his feelings, around the time when I’d first read any of your books. Maybe it will help a puzzle piece or two slip into place inside. Thank you both so much.
Welcome home!
Thank you!
The total damage is 6 pounds gained in the prep for the wedding, when I didn’t cook because we were trying to keep the house neat, then the wedding and four days later a 5-day convention. Dessert every night of the con, and dinners weren’t carb-free either.
I think we’re going back on the diet drink 2 meals a day until we get this fixed!
Todd’s OK, but I didn’t like the cover of Pretender by Donato. The faces looked to African-American, too roundy.
