Interesting to see how it changed over the years.
I’d think 2-piece (or more) gowns should find more traction, but you rarely see them. Tops and sleeves are most apt to be dated. If gowns were made, as in prior centuries, with lace-on attachments, for sleeves, bodices, etc, it would be very possible to pass them down to other generations.
Some very nice work, however.
If I may dredge up an earlier topic, I think the reason for not wearing the same shoes every day is for the benefit of the shoes, especially leather. They need stretching on shoe trees to keep looking good; the bad-for-your-feet bit sounds like urban myth. Since your new shoes seem to fit so well, I’d get a couple more pair if possible. Maybe reserve one pair as only for special occasions. Rotate the other pairs until one announces its desire to be your knockabout, gardening shoes.
I find lug soles make a difference in how sure-footed I am.
Will you be sure-footed and non-chaffing in the large sandals? Return for the right size? (Rhetorical Qs.)
To be truthful as well as gross, my feet sweat. I need to let the insides of my shoes dry out for one or two days.
I bought 3 pair, one loafer, one flat, one sandal, and a pair of sandals that’s a half size too big (I wear a 9 sandal, a 9.5 in street shoes, and have a 10 sandal that I need to return.) But I might just keep it and use it as the gardening shoes. Life’s too short to cripple yourself and suffer pain for a pair of shoes.
Whups! Wrong reply link.
