She does seem to be ok. We’re not so sure about the nail.
But where did I find her when I woke up this morning?
Out with a shovel, revising the area around the rockwork of the lotus pond waterfall-filter, having already pulled every weed in sight and trimmed down the heat-damaged hinoki cypress.
It’s cool and nice out there right now, and evidently she’s on Excedrin.
I hope she’s getting out of it ok.
So, working, working, very busy while on the happy Excedrin, eh?
One hopes Jane will not then fall on her face when the meds wear off.
Or rather, as long as she’s in a good spot to go lights-out when she does. Nice comfy couch, feet up, offended hand elevated, perhaps? … Say, that requires some nice grapes or olives or some such, to complete the tableau de loisir!
Note to my browser’s auto-incorrect function: “loisir” is indeed the word I meant, not “looser,” which it keeps suggesting. If Jane gets too loose after the meds wear off, well, that would not be…uptight and outta sight? Jam up and jelly tight, as noted in the peanut butter ritch-woolz post?
I think I located every other brand of peanut butter in my local Krogers *except* Adams’. I shall confess I came away with a small jar of *chocolate* peanut butter, but missed the Nutella. — I shall accept responsibility if her Jane-ness wishes either Nutella or chocolate peanut butter to make her ouchie feel all better. 😀
I arrived home with most of what I’d need for another recipe, plus fixings, I trust, for an experiment in fish tacos. (Oops, I forgot cucumber, drat.)
Ah, and a “Lattice Cherry Pie” somehow also made its way into my cart. Aye, tempting, it was.
Did you check this link for the peanut butter, BCS? http://www.adamspeanutbutter.com/Resource/WhereToBuy
Thank you, Joe-ji. Wow, no wonder I didn’t find it. Looks like if I want any Adams’ Peanut Butter, I’ll need to order it online. Walmart Super Centers, but not in my city. One is a ways away from where I used to live. The other is…in Baytown, TX!
My local Krogers does, of course, carry Smucker’s jams and jellies, but apparently not Adams’ Peanut Butter. I am somewhat relieved to know I didn’t skip right over it on the shelves. However, I’ll look again, next time, just in case. — I have a spare jar of (one of those other brands) so I’m not in danger of running out any time soon, but when I do the Peanut Soup recipe, that’s likely where the spare jar will go.
I’ve just taken another look at the commonly available pkgs of soba noodles. I think I did overlook them in the Asian foods few shelves. I’d really liked them when I’d tried them last year or this year. I’ll have to see what the recipe was. It may have been from friends here and at Sheridan. Another peanut Asian dish? Or sesame noodles? It was quite good, anyway. Enough to remember to get soba noodles occasionally, and try them for other dishes..
Well, it’s nasty-looking, but does seem to have spared the nail bed, or most of it. That’s good news.
And she finished the lotus pond waterfall—quite beautifully. I’m sure there will be pix one of these days.
Of the ‘but we kiss-ded and maked it better’ nature?
One wonders (hopes!) sparklie-spit has healing qualities.
